There will be a full afternoon social program from Monday to Friday with a lot of activities ranging from swimming in indoor pools, horse riding and pony tracking, guided walking tours, visits to local places of interest, trips to famous Cliffs of Kilkee and the Burren.
Em 2. General Summer Program
This program is run in association with our partners: Emerald Cultural Institute in Dublin.
The summer camp has a duration of two weeks and includes a full program of English classes in the mornings and activities and social programs in the evenings with one full day trip at the weekend.
Students normally stay with families and so increase the opportunity to learn English by interacting with the host family and the children. All our families are Irish and are well experienced in looking after children from different countries. We always try to ensure that NO two students from the same country or speaking the same mother tongue are in the same house. Details of the families with telephone contacts are ALWAYS supplied for each student.
Residence in University or College building and/or dormitories can also be arranged and is advised for younger student (12 – 13 years). Minimum length of stay is two weeks.
Em 3. A.C. Milan Football Training Program
Details as above but with the opportunity to train with Trainers from A.C. Milan for 3 hours a day five days a week and also take part in football tournaments arranged by the coaches and competing against other students on the program.
This is a great opportunity for children to get a first class English program as well as a top standard football training program. This program only takes place in July each year and is extremely popular. It started originally with children of the players from the AC Milan team coming to Emerald Cultural Institute for English classes and has developed from there.
Em 4. Edgewater Summer Program
Located in the medieval town of Drogheda, in County Louth, Ireland just 20 minutes north of Dublin Airport, we are in an ideal location for students to learn English and explore the beautiful country known as the "Emerald Isle".
The aim of all our junior English courses is to improve the communicative competence of each individual in all contexts and situations – social, inter-personal, academic and educational. These courses are designed for students aged 14-18 years old.
We focus on developing students communication skills, with special emphasis on speaking, pronunciation and listening. We place an emphasis on all learners from beginners to advanced, enabling them to function in both social and professional situations with confidence.
Small classes (maximum 15 per class) ensure personal attention for each student, and each course is relevant to the professional area of the student in response to the specific and special needs of the individual. Classroom lessons last 50 minutes each.
